In 2011, TRUCE has been approached to redesign the entire magazine of the Berliner Philharmoniker. After a short, but intense design phase, and a creation of a first dummy issue last year, we are now in charge of art direction and graphic design for this quarterly publication, issued in each German and English language. The first issue of ‘128’ has hit the newsstands in Europe! Additionally we are engaged in other Design- as well as Bookprojects, where our sensitive approach, in combination with passion for detail, comes into play.

128 Das Magazin der Berliner Philharmoniker

Berliner Philharmoniker Magazine
German and English version, quarterly, 128 pages.

128

The Berliner Philharmoniker Magazine‚ 128’ has undergone a complete new visual design by TRUCE and its founding art director Stefan Jermann. 128 will hit the international newsstands on a quarterly basis on 128 pages in a german as well as a separate englisch edition. From a range of perspectives, members of the orchestra talk about their special memories of the trip, for example, the unusual and amusing things that happened at the concerts, and about their visit to Sendai, where the tsunami struck with particular violence. In an exclusive interview, Thomas Quasthoff, long-time guest soloist with the Philharmoniker, talks openly about the reasons for his withdrawal from the concert stage.
